During these gatherings, we will come together to co-create a ritual that emerges organically from the collective rhythm and presence of everyone who has gathered. The ritual will be shaped by the group’s current needs and supported by the guiding presence of the elemental beings—Fire (the Ancestors), Water, Earth, Nature, and Minerals.

What unfolds in the ritual will arise from the voices and wisdom of the participants. Each person brings their own lived experiences and relationships with them into the circle—some known, some waiting to be discovered. Together, we will create something entirely new, grounded in connection and shared intention.

This is a highly participatory event. You are invited to arrive with an open heart and mind, ready to learn from the Elements themselves and to support one another in the process. Please note that the use of alcohol or drugs is not permitted during these gatherings.

All are welcome here.

My understanding of ritual and my relationships with the Elements have been deeply shaped by the teachings and encouragement of my elders, Dagara Elder Malidoma Somé and Elder Theresa Sykes Brittany.

“Ritual is called for because our soul communicates things to us that the body translates as need, or want, or absence. So we enter into ritual in order to respond to the call of the soul.”

Ritual: Power, Healing and Community

The dramatic action that we need to create a way of life on Earth that really works will be taken not through personal, social, or political action, but through spiritual action.

The spiritual thirst that is latent in everybody can never come to a place of fulfillment unless people begin to think of each other as potential brothers and sisters…. One can say, ‘Teach me what you know,’ but the better request is, ‘Teach me about what teaches you.
